Falling For A Star In The City - Krysten Lindsay Hager

Falling For a Star in the City - Book Review

Falling For a Star in the City is intrinsically a riveting novella, full of an exotic mixture of passion and romance. Written by the Best-selling Author Krysten Lindsay Hager, it is emotionally driven as it explores several key themes of struggling with the challenges of navigating through life to find purpose and true love. The leading character, Paige Kramar is a young actress in New York City who is flourishing in all aspects; a successful college freshman year, a job as an actress on a widely known soap opera, and a rock star boyfriend.  However, when her star role suddenly has a brief hiatus and her family continues to relent her for the instability that it causes in her career, Paige is left feeling as if she is thrown into a roller-coaster of emotions as she is forced to let her acting dreams to drift behind and a sudden break-up leads her into a turmoil of emotions. Stepping through the whirlwind of events, Paige is stunned by a new blockbuster surprise from a certain ex-boyfriend. Recovering from her relentless grief, the protagonist enters the world of internships as she begins to discover new tremendous opportunities that will give her an insight into what she can become!

As Paige’s worlds collide from the entry of a specific individual into her life, she must recognise the things that will bring her hope-filled dreams, swoon-worthy moments, and delightful memories. For me, reading this book was a compelling journey as it conveys a deeper meaning as Paige’s thoughtful world slowly unravels with key connotations of growing up and maturing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel as I was captivated by the entrancing storyline. The front cover stands out to me as an impressive visual representative which captures the attention of many readers as it is vibrant and full of colour.

This breath-taking book uncovers several wonders of the literary world as it is filled to the brim with imaginative literary techniques that could quite make the reader addicted to these pages. I would whole-heartedly recommend this marvellous novella to anyone interesed in falling in love with a novel that will make you laugh, cry and every other emotion all at once!
